Aval or poha is rich in viataminB.It is also called beaten rice.U can make lots of snack items with this.It is very easy also.Aval uppma is one among them.
Ingredients
Aval(poha)- 1 cup ( I used the red one)
coconut 1/2 cup(grated)
green chillies 2 or 3 cut into small pieces
ginger 1 teaspoon(grated)
For tempering
oil 2 teaspoons
mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
urad dal 1 teaspoon
red chillies 2
Sprinkle some water on the aval. Mix together the soaked aval,coconut and the salt.( very little salt need be added).Heat a kadai.Pour the oil.When it gets hot,splutter mustard seeds,add red chillies,urad dal,green chillies,ginger.When the tempering is done,add theaval coconut.Cook for two minutes in low flame.Ur aval uppma is ready
